Rudolph Kaesbach (1873 – 1955)
He was born in Germany in Mönchengladbach and died in Berlin. Kaesbach was one of four sons of Carl Josef Kaesbach (1839-1928) and Anna Petronella Kaesbach, born. Hülsmann (1844-1892). His younger brother Walter Kaesbach was an art historian.
Rudolf Kaesbach studied at the academies in Hanau (drawing), Paris (sculpture) and Brussels. In Düsseldorf, he ran a workshop in which he cast his own sculptures. He worked as a sculptor in Berlin from 1904 and produced a series of life-sized marble figures at exhibitions in Berlin, Düsseldorf and Malmö. Later he increasingly devoted himself to the representation of female nudes. Many of his works led beyond Art Nouveau to Art Deco
