Royal Worcester Porcelain Moon Flask.

Circa 1880.

Elegant Royal Worcester Porcelain Chinoiserie Aesthetic Movement Moon Flask Vase. A refined example of a moon flask vase in celadon green with applied white decoration and gilt-covered handles. Chinese forms were very popular in Europe and Great Britain during the aesthetic movement, and a number of porcelain factories in Great Britain and Europe modeled pieces in this shape. This is a special example, given the graceful lines of the handles, and the skillfully applied decoration. The shape recalls the Ming Dynasty vase form.

Condition is very good, small rubbing to the gilt on the neck commensurate with age and use.

Dimensions: Height: 13 inches Width: 8 inches Depth: 4 inches.
