The top with fine baluster turned gallery to scarlet and gilt tooled leather writing slope, which opens to a void, polished mahogany interior.

Turned triple baluster and ring turned trestle end supports, to platforms united by a turned stretcher. The turned bun feet conceal brass castors.

Bears impressed maker’s mark: Miles & Edwards, 134 Oxford Street, London, and numbered 7650.
