An Art Deco vintage wristwatch by Rolex dated 1934. 

Yellow gold 9ct case with stepped sides and overlaid middle panels reminiscent of the front of the Railway steam engine locomotive, hence, the colloquial reference of “the Railway” model.

Marked Rolex and “RWC LTD” for the Rolex Watch Company Ltd and “25 World’s Records”. Hallmarked for Glasgow import into the United Kingdom in 1934. Snap back. 

15-Rubies (Jewels), Rolex, rectangular Ultra Prima HW movement. 

Silvered dial with black chapter, raised gold Art Deco Arabic numerals and indented subsidiary dial for seconds. Blued Steel “Feuille” hands. 

Case, movement and dial signed.
