Regency Pollard Oak Side Cabinet with Breccia Marble Columns.

The figured top over two doors with brass grilles and escutcheons, opening to reveal the interior with one shelf. The doors flanked by breccia marble columns, each with a brass capital and base.

The use of native English oak, and in particular the strongly figured 'pollard' variety, was popularised by the Liverpool cabinet maker George Bullock in the Regency period.
