Regency period mahogany card table with a hinged and swivelling top;  decorated throughout with inlaid ebony stringing, pellets and lancet motifs; on inset end-supports with splayed legs and brass box-castors, united by a turned stretcher.  It has the unusual feature of having a press button release to revolve and open the top out and a locking mechanism to hold it in position.  Excellent condition and of high quality.  It has the unusual feature of having a press button release to revole the top to open it out and a locking mechanism to hold it in position.  Circa 1815
