Regency Penwork Tea Caddy.
Early 19th century period chinoiserie tea caddy.
The profusely decorated penwork tea caddy is quite unusual.
The finely worked floral decoration with exotic birds and neatly coloured penwork to the top. The top opens to reveal two fitted lids that retain the original colours of the day.
The man body of the tea caddy depicting figures in different scenes. The front, sides and revers display the exotic mystique of Asia.
The coloured penwork is of good quality and the tea caddy is raised on gilt pressed ball feet.
