The white marble tablet carved with the reclining figure of Urania, the Greek muse of astronomy.
Urania was the daughter of Zeus by Mnemosyne and granddaughter of Uranus, often associated with Universal Love and able to foretell the future by the arrangement of the stars, she is depicted here with a celestial globe and a short pointer.
