A very fine quality late Regency mahogany double sided open bookcase, or trolley. Having well figured rectangular top with gallery mould, over two well figured further tiers with central divider and elegant spindle turned upright supports to each end. Terminating on elegant tapered legs with original brass castors.

This particularly elegant and compact piece of Regency antique furniture is constructed from good quality mahogany timber and exudes class and sophistication, in a rarely found form.

Designed to be functional on both sides it is perfect for the centre of a room, alongside a settee, up against the wall somewhere beside a bed, tucked into a corner in a living room, alongside a desk in the office and a whole plethora of other places.

Overall it is in good condition and retains a lovely colour and patina. There is very little restoration of any kind to speak of and it has clearly been well used, as well as well loved throughout the many years of its life.

As with all the items of antique furniture which we offer for sale this charming little freestanding bookcase has been attended to by our highly skilled and trained antique furniture restorers in our workshops, where it has received a general clean and tidy, plus natural wax polish in the traditional manner, before being offered for sale, therefore it is absolutely ready to be placed straight into the home or office.
