A Regency brass-bound mahogany writing slope by Hicks of London, of typical rectangular form with a hinged flap which opens to reveal a blue velvet writing slope, a pen tray, inkwells and a drawer on the right hand side.
The top with a hound’s head crest on a brass plaque, with a paper label ‘Hicks Manufacturer, 26 Wigmore Street, Cavendish Square’.
