A fine and beautiful brass bound and inlaid writing slope veneered with palmwood onto mahogany divided into rectangles with inlaid brass; the plaque to the top finely engraved in script 'Hannah'.
Flush fitting campaign style handles to the sides, fitted with a lock by J. Bramah (no key), the interior typical with two original leather lined flaps, a finely made lift-out pen tray and a brass and glass travelling inkwell.
