A rare pair of Armorial decanters cut with flutes, engraved with armorials, with two neck rings and with pear-shaped stoppers.

English circa 1795-1810.

Height 27.3 cm.

Very nice examples of decanters being transitional from the late 18th century taper shape to the classic three neck-ring type of 1820-1830.   The arms are not identified but the engraving is from Newcastle.

The holly leaf branch to the left of the arms is sometimes seen on rummers engraved in North East England.
