Anthony Salvin Gothic wall- corridor lanterns from Mahmead House Circa 1827.

Fabulously rare pair of hanging hall- corridor lanterns - chandeliers in the Gothic fashion of extremely fine quality lacquered bronze . 

Retaining the original Gothic  linked chain supporting the body housing the original mechanical oil chamber .( Now converted to electricity ) 

Condition ......excellent 

 

Provenance...Mahmead House- Devons Grandest Country Retreat ....one of Salvins most remarkable projects .

 

Exhibited and vetted and admired at the Grosvenor House Fair Park Lane London - Englands foremost antique fair in the 1900`s .
