A rare Meissen porcelain bathroom wash set, made for one of the guest bedrooms of the royal residence at Schloss Marienburg, Hanover (built between 1858 and 1867 as a present from King George V of Hanover to his wife Queen Marie of Saxe-Hildburghausen). The porcelain is finely hand painted with Watteau scenes and gilded embellishments on a cobalt blue ground. Comprising of:
• Wash Basin and Water Ewer
• Soap Dish and Cover, with internal drainer
• Toothbrush Box and Cover
• Perfume Bottle and Stopper
