A Rather Splendid Late Regency Yew Wood Library Bergere Armchair in a Festive Bottle Green Velvet.

English Circa 1825

The padded oblong back above a cushioned seat within padded double scroll-ended arms, the solid sides most unusually banded and quarter veneered in yew wood, above lappet carved baluster front legs terminating on stamped gilt Copes cup castors. 

Recently upholstered in the traditional manner with a fine bottle green velvet and down feather cushioned seat.

A wonderful handsome armchair and most unusual for being in yew wood.
