This design, the Acorn, is one of the rarest designs by Thomas James and the deep bowl is beautifully shaped to simulate the shape of an acorn.

The handle is also finely shaped, with wavy border, and is very well marked on the reverse. The designs of James are rare and of innovative plain design.

Their quality is always very fine and he had workshops in Aldersgate Street when this piece was made.

Length: 3 inches, 7.5cm
Widest section of the bowl: 1.45 inches, 3.63 cm.
