Extremely rare George III Irish Silver Flatware Service for twelve all made by John Pittar of Dublin between 1788-1791.

The matching knives are made in London by the specialist knife maker William Abdy at the same time( rebladed with rustless stainless steel circa 1930).

This rare service is in the thread pattern with unusually threading on both sides except on the table spoons which are threaded on one side only.

The service comprises 12 Table spoons,12 Table forks ,12 Dessert spoons ,12 Dessert forks and is complemented by 12 Table knives and 12 Dessert knives.

The service is unengraved but all the knives have a small Irish wolfhound crest engraved on the handles.

This is the first Irish eighteenth century flatware service I have ever owned and the only one to my knowledge on the world market at the present time.

The service is in excellent condition and a rare opportunity to purchase an eighteenth century Irish flatware service with the original knives (rebladed)-other styles of knives always available.
