Art Deco Sterling Silver Prototype Plain Pine Pattern Cutlery Service.

A very rare sterling silver art deco cutlery/flatware service for 12 place settings made by Roberts and Belk of Sheffield in 1933 in a rare prototype variety of Plain Pine (registered design no 776560 for 1932). The set comprises 12 Table forks, 12 Dessert spoons, 12 Dessert forks, 6 Table spoons/Serving spoons plus 2 Sauce ladles and 2 extra table forks for serving. In addition there are 12 original Table knives and 12 Dessert knives made by Roberts and Belk with stainless steel blades and carved bakelite handles to match the service. (70 pieces total). The service is in excellent condition.
