Quartetto Nest Of Mahogany Coffee Tables.

A very fine quality quartetto nest of four mahogany coffee tables, having superbly figured oval panels to inlaid and crossbanded panelled tops. Raised on elegant turned upright supports united by curved stretchers, terminating on sabre feet with strung decoration.

Dating to the late 19th century, but in the Georgian style as is common for this period these tables are exceptional quality and very beautiful indeed.

The top of each table is superbly veneered with oval panels and inlaid decoration, plus also has a cross banded top. The combination of these features create a real contrast and incredibly elegant effect.

These tables are in good, solid, functional condition, with very little restoration or existing damage to speak of. It is worth noting that we have had many similar nests of this period and it's not that often that they are found without rudimentary repairs to smashed legs, or with tops that have faded to totally different colour, split, or just generally look different. Its therefore cleat that these particular ones have been well loved, cherished and used throughout their life.

As with all items which we offer for sale they have been attended to in our workshops by our highly skilled antique furniture restorers who have tightened the joints, cleaned and naturally waxed them to ensure they are presented in retail condition ready to be placed straight into use.

Perfect for a whole variety of spaces around the home they will add a touch of elegance, class and function to absolutely any room around the home.
