An exceptional Nast (Paris) two-handled cup and stand decorated upon a gilt ground, the cup with a classical winged figure playing trumpets flanked by angels riding horses on each side.
The border of the stand with alternating panels of muses and seated griffins flanking a gilt portrait medallion, the centre with a panel of the sun.
The interior of the cup and underside of the stand entirely gilded. Hand painted nast in gilt to undersides of cup and stand, circa 1800.
Cup 9 cm high, 12 cm across handles, 8 cm diameter.
Stand 2.5 cm high, 15 cm diameter.
