Late 17th or early 18th century pewter charger. Touch marks of Fryer. Possibly Sir John Fryer, London, working 1692-1726. John Fryer was created a Baronet on 21st December 1714, a Sheriff of the City of London for 1715-1716 and Lord Mayor for 1720-1721. He was also a director of the East India Company and the South Sea Company.
