A fine 18th century satinwood veneered bow ended Pembroke table. Having a crossbanded top edge of tulipwood, four panels of satinwood veneer are separated with lines of ebony and boxwood. A most unusual feature I have not seen be used before. The handles are original 'Old Sheffield Plated' with slight signs of the copper bleeding through with again adds another interesting feature. When the twin flaps are raised up the table top become oval, because the ends or bow shaped. The table stands on four square tapering legs on the original castors. English circa 1780
