Pair of William & Mary Oak Joined Back Stools.

ENGLAND, LANCASHIRE, circa 1690

With shaped foliate scroll carved cresting rails, arched fielded central panels, boarded panel seats with corner patera, on baluster turned legs tied with a turned baluster front stretcher and tied on each side by two plain stretchers.

A pair of very similar form can be found in the National Trust Collections at Blickling Hall, Norfolk (NT 354427.1 and NT 354427.2.
