A magnificent pair of large William IV period silver wine coasters made in 1831 by Howard, Battie and Hawksworth of Sheffield.
They are beautifully decorated with grape and vine motifs and still retain their fine original oak bases.
They bear the original dedication inscription when they were first gifted in 1831.
They are in excellent crisp condition. A very fine pair indeed.
