A good pair of late eighteenth century style candlesticks ( C 1790 ) made in Birmingham in 1971 by Barker Ellis.

They have oval bases which are surmounted by oval stems and corresponding oval detachable nozzles.

They have bands of reeding across the stems and also around the knops. They are of excellent quality and in very good condition.

On the other side to the hallmarks England is engraved which Barker Ellis often used to strike 50 years ago and earlier as they had a large export trade to America at that time.

They are clearly hallmarked on the side and both nozzles and the bases which are part silver underneath which is a nice feature (one nozzle 1970)
