The Consul Kaestner, a three masted top-sail schooner depicted in fair weather off of Leghorn and in foul weather, The Atlantic, whilst commanded by John Williams. 

Painted in watercolour on paper and within oak wedge frames, by Luigi Renault. Son of Michel Renault, he was a ship portraitist working out of Leghorn in the late 19th century.

A child prodigy, he was producing saleable paintings at the age of eleven.

His work is held in numerous museums including Swansea, Poole and The National Maritime Museum, Greenwich.
