An Impressive Pair of Louis XVI Style Gilt-Bronze Mounted Mahogany Vitrines by François Linke.
Signed to the reverse of the bronze mounts ‘LINKE’.
Each vitrine has a spreading pediment centred to the top by a ribbon-tied garland above a bevelled glass door. The central doors are flanked by similar bevelled glass panel sides with ribbon-tied mounts to the top, the angles with fluted pilasters, on tapering fluted legs.

François Linke (1855 - 1946) was the most important Parisian cabinet maker of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, and possibly the most sought after cabinet maker of his period.
