A pair of large highly decorative late 19th century Japanese vases of important size converted to lamps in excellent condition in the Chinese style, Famille Rose, having pseudo Ming marks. The all round pattern is unusual and includes peonies, peach trees and chrysanthemums. The peach tree being the emblem of marriage and symbol of immortality and spring. Circa 1890.
