Pair of Carved Giltwood Girandole Mirrors.
Venice. Circa 1760.
Height 28 ¼ inches (72 centimetres).
Width 21 ¼ inches (54 centimetres).
The carved wood shield shaped mirrors with a plumed crest above an arched canopy formed with icicles. The mirror frames with continuous scroll and foliate carving.
Each mirror with the original border glass with one central plate possibly replaced.
