About the object

A rare pair of Chippendale period mahogany stools; the stuff-over seats raised on square chamfered legs which are carved with blind fret decoration and have acanthus carved ear pieces; the legs united by stretchers with pierced decoration.

The stools have been reupholsterd in the traditional manner and covered with a blue/grey damask.
