An exceptional pair of George III antique silver wine coasters with beaded wavy undulating rims. The main bodies are beautifully engraved, with swags of flowers and leaves interspersed with five oval decorative urns and a cartouche containing a family crest.These coasters are in amazing condition and they are struck with the incuse head of George III which was introduced as a tax Mark from the 1st Dec 1784 by the government to help pay for the American wars.

The bases are of turned mahogany and have green baize to the underside.
