Pair of English Plain Creamware Openwork Baskets & Stands
Circa 1780-90s.
The plain creamware fruit baskets have openwork sides in the form of columns with bands of ropework at the rim center and foot. The upper rim has openings in the form of circles and diamonds. There is a flared and curved openwork handle to each side. The baskets' design is repeated on the bases including the handles.
