A Fine Pair of Patinated Bronze Figures of River Nymphs, After Jean Goujon.
One figure inscribed to the base ‘Jean Goujon’.
Each figure finely cast as a reclining Nerid with an urn issuing water, on naturalistic bases, with rich brown patination.
These charming figures are inspired by the nymphs on the monumental ‘Fontaine des Innocents’ in Paris.
French, Circa 1890.
