A rae, almost identical pair of Persian Heriz runners in a good size. Runner number one measures 530 cm x 94 cm, runner number two is 520 cm long and 100 cm wide.

Five concentric medallions constitute the central axis of the dark blue field. They are each constructed around a sequence of oval floral motifs. The dark background is nicely abrashed, with areas of lighter blue interspersed in the dark blue, and a lovely turquoise at one end of each runner.

The handle of the pieces is heavy due to the unusually dense weave and the thick pile.

They are in very good condition, with some minor repairs.
