A rare and fine quality pair of solid satinwood curule shaped window seats of large proportions dating to circa 1870.

The pair of Regency design which will work well in both a traditional and contemporary interior design scheme, having the original caning with later brass plates and a wonderful colour to the satinwood.

Great shape and in excellent condition, rare to find especially being a pair.

The Curule shape was a designed noted for its use in Ancient Rome and popularised during the Regency era.

The Curule seat in early Rome was used as symbol of military power or high political status.
