16th Century Italian Wall Lights.

Delightful and rare set of two Italian gilded wrought iron (possibly piedmont) wall lights featuring the original gilding.

They consist of four arms (17th century) which have been later (19th-20th century) mounted on a leaves shaped base for wall hanging.

Originally they could have been part of a chandelier or been hanging singularly.

The colour of the gold and the patina is very warm and mellow and really show the age.

Due to their delicate structure, objects of this kind are difficult to find, especially in a pair and with the gilding untouched.

They can be with candles or being electrified. Impressive and eye-catching rare piece with a great country house distressed look.

Height 23 cm.

Width 32 cm.

Depth 20 cm.
