Original Dutch Stoelklok Wall Clock.

Arched bracket with two painted mermaids, gilded lead cresting moulded with two lions beside an armorial crest, side glazed windows with pierced fretwork.

The painted chapter ring with Roman numerals, original brass pierced hands and painted dial mask featuring a typical Dutch boating canal scene.

Thirty hour chain driven movement supported by four turned brass columns with verge escapement, countwheel strike on a centrally mounted bell.  Circa 1780
