Norman Stuart Clarke Seascape Wave Vase, 1997.

"I use bold, powerful colors; it's a consuming interest of mine, an obsession, placing different hues together on a piece, watching them react optically. They throb and dance to a tune shared only with the beholder."

One of Britain's leading glass artists, Clarke’s influence and reputation as a glass painter is unsurpassed.

Outstanding hand blown, ovoid, glass vase from Clarke’s signature wave series.

Hand blown when Clarke had a studio near St Ives showing his painterly approach, understanding of and sensitivity to the sea. Depicting the full curl of rolling waves around the lower half of the vase and a semi-transparent purple sunset or dawn above.

The artist is Internationally collected by galleries and collectors.

The base is signed by the artist and dated ‘97’.
