A Minton porcelain vase, designed by Christopher Dresser, dated 1870. The double ended, squared Vase of ‘U’ shape, ‘suspended’ from a central strap form handle, and set upon a circular base. Hand painted with with flowering plants, upon a pink ground, between gilded borders. The footrim modelled as a Chinese style stand.
Impressed factory marks, and date code for 1870. and model number ‘1494’.
Height - 17 cm, 6 5/8”.
Width - 15.5 cm, 6 1/8”.
Depth - 9 cm, 3 1/2”.
Condition - Firing stress cracks to the base. No damage. No restoration.
