A charming and intimate miniature oil on copper depicting the Adoration of the Shepherds, framed in a high carat gold mount.
The oil on copper is Italian, c.1750.
The Continental gold mount, decorated in the Baroque taste, most likely dates to the 19th century.
The painting is in original condition, with bright pigment and some losses.
The painting measures 2.3 x 2.2cm, the frame measures 3.6 x 3.5cm.
