Ming 15th century blue and white bowl made during the reign of Hongzhi at Jingdezhen
Excellent colour and potting and painted to the sides with scrolling lotus to the main part of out side of the bowl The bottom part has a band of shaped panels and to the top a band of stylised ruyi headed clouds
The inside of the bowl repeats the lotus pattern with a peony spray to the base
Over all an excellent example of the type made during this period
