(Military campaign chests as the name suggests were originally made
for easy transportation around the battlefield. A few features specific
to this purpose are the two part construction for ease of movement,
the flush fitted brass handles and brass bound decoration designed
to ensure there are as few bits "poking out" that which are likely to
snagged during movement. example is constructed from camphor
wood which is many people regard as the best quality of the woods
used to construct these type of chests from with the added bonus
which camphor wood offers of a strong but very pleasant aroma
inside the drawers which is very much intended to keep the moths,
insects and bugs away.)
