Conceived in 1965.
This tense, small bronze is among the most successful of Ayrton’s Demeter and Kore compositions. Demeter is embracing her daughter Kore (Persephone) the queen of the underworld and wife of Hades. Each year from spring to autumn she returns to earth to spend time with her mother.
