A fine late medieval oak sculpture of St John. Netherlands. Circa 1470.
This fine late medieval oak sculpture of St John has a wonderful expression to his face and extremely pleasing curls to his hair. Fragments of his original polychrome decoration remains to the whole sculpture. Carved in the round. Minor losses to his true right hand.
