Martin Brothers Toad. This is a rare example of an earthenware sculpture (only three earthenware firings were attempted before them being deemed commercially unsuccessful after many were destroyed in the production process) This grotesque has a comical expression and in the same way as the Birds, his head rotates. Dating between 1996-8 (undated) it is in excellent condition save for a small glaze flake to his chest.
