A Fine Louis XVI Style Gilt-Bronze Mounted Mahogany Display Cabinet With Wedgwood Porcelain Plaques.
French, Circa 1880.
The upper section has a shaped cornice with acorn finials and a foliate wreath above a frieze centred by a large oval Wedgwood porcelain plaque. The central glazed door flanked by reeded columns and opening to a mirrored interior with glass shelves.
The lower section having a central cupboard door with foliate and ribbon tied gilt-bronze mounts and centred by an allegorical Wedgwood Porcelain plaque, flanked by further cupboards to each side. The cabinet has a shaped frieze with foliate gilt-bronze mounts and is raised on toupie feet with bronze caps.
