Late 19th Century Edwardian Satinwood Salon Suite

A Very Good Quality Late 19th, Or Early 20th Century, Edwardian Satinwood Salon Suite, Or Parlour Suite, Consisting Of Two Seat Settee And Pair Of Armchairs, All Having Attractive Hand Painted Polychrome Decoration Throughout And Elegant Scrolling Arms With Turned Upright Supports, Raised On Elegant Turned Legs Terminating On Original Brass Castors.

This fabulous suite of furniture is incredibly elegant and has real edwardian charm and brightness to it. The hand painted decoration is both exceptional and profuse, certainly there was no skimping when it came to the application of this and it clearly has been carried out by somebody extremely skilled in their craft.

The upholstery has been relatively recently replaced and therefore remains in excellent condition. Therefore it would also be very easy to replace, or change should one wish. It is worth noting that this design of salon suite often had caned panels with squab cushions rather then being fully upholstered, so there is also the option for somebody to put that back should they wish. That said, the current upholstery is nice, clean and works very well on the pieces, allowing the beautiful satinwood and painted decoration to really take centre stage.

As with all items we offer for sale this suite has been inspected by our highly skilled, trained traditional antique furniture restorers before being offered for sale and received a natural wax polish, ensuring it is ready for immediate placement into the home.
