Large Victorian Amethyst Brooch with Diamond Surround, English circa 1890.
A late Victorian silver set and gold mounted brooch with an exceptionally brightly coloured amethyst centre. The stone is surrounded by a border of single rose cut diamonds and is multifaceted to the reverse to give the stone its brightness.
Measures 40mm across.
