Large rare Chinese famille rose baluster jug, Qianlong (1736-95), the ribbed body decorated with a mountainous landscape with pagodas and walled garden, height: 34.5cm. The proto type for this jug is Meissen from a few years earlier, for a similar example see Beurdeley, 'Porcelain de la Compagnie des Indes', (1962) p. 117, pl. XX1. Most examples of this extremely rare jug are decorated with floral designs; what may make this jug unique is its decoration.
