Pink luster pottery pitcher with transfer images highlighted with enamel colors, the main image a cartoon of a portly gentleman carving a rib of beef with the heading BRITISH SLAVERY ( a reference to taxes). Another print shows the FARMERS ARMS together with the legend GOD SPEED THE PLOUGH.
The third image is a poem relating to a publican extolling the virtues of his customers paying up for their drinks. The pitcher is large scale and decorated with bright flowers and colored spots and dashes.The primary transfer print relating to Slavery has the script inscription "Newcastle Pottery."
